Sinking Gardens
Sinking Gardens is a body of work reflecting the fragile state of our planet — a meditation on ecological imbalance and slow-moving catastrophe. Flowers appear suspended and sinking in water, forming lush, dreamlike compositions that feel beautiful at first glance, yet quietly unsettling.
These are not bouquets, but living forms displaced from their natural foundations. Water is not their substratum — earth and sun are. By placing Renaissance-inspired floral imagery into an unsustainable environment, the paintings act as a gentle warning: beauty can exist even in crisis, but it cannot survive there indefinitely.
